I see by the current FMA roster that you are the historian so I’m writing to you to maybe clear up something.
I was looking through the list of deceased Midshipmen, and saw that the following two mid’n were missing.
William E. Dozier 1-47
Bertram Raeder 2-47
If I remember correctly, both of these gents were killed in a PB4Y-2 crash in Corpus Christi Bay in 1951 (again, I am not sure of the year). Bert Rader was one of my roommates in pre-flight at Ottumwa, and Bill Dozier and I went through Selective Flight at Los Alamitos together.
Unfortunately, neither made it as far as the rest of us, but they were in the Midshipman program and should be added to the roster.
Please let me know if there is anything alse that I can do to help ensure that they are not forgotten.
