''As a member of the flight (flying AD Skyraiders) led by LT Ralph Ripple, his wingman ENS Jack Dunckel, and Ltjg) Sam Catterlin, the section leader, we flew 33 missions into North Korea. Most of our flights were routine close-air support and interdiction. Lieutenant Catterlin, my leader, was instrumental in bringing me safely back to the ship to land, so to be able to write this recollection today."
